THE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT OF AMY LOVE

I've always loved sports and am pleased to be heading up a group of outstanding individuals
dedicated to "The Real Representation of Today's Girls and Women Athletes."
---Amy Love

In keeping with a three-year tradition, the Southwest Collection/ Special Collections Library
is proud to highlight Texas Tech University alumnus, Amy Love.  Love, who is CEO of ADL Inc,
and Founder and Publisher of Real Sports magazine, graduated from Texas Tech in 1988.

Following her college career, Love held positions at Haagen-Dazs; Procter & Gamble; and
Booz, Allen & Hamilton in San Francisco.  At the age of 29, Love served as the Vice President
for Sales and Marketing at Navigation Technologies. In 1997, Love left the company to create
Real Sports
, a magazine dedicated to capturing the action and excitement of girls' and women's
sports competition. The inaugural issue was released in November 1998 to 50,000 enthusiastic
fans.

Recognized for both her professional expertise and community involvement, Love has been
honored by numerous organizations across the country. In 1989, she was acknowledged as one
of the Outstanding Young Women of America, and has been featured in multiple editions of Who's
Who.
In 1998, Love was honored by the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women.

Love has established herself as a highly sought after promotional speaker nationwide.  In
February, her company was named as an Early Stage Honor Roll Company by the Harvard
Business School Club of New York.  Under Love’s leadership, Real Sports has experienced
phenomenal growth in circulation during its three years of existence.
