U Lazy S Ranch
Photograph Collection, 1925-1975 139 negatives. Includes images of chuckwagon scenes, man holding fish, women posing near fireplace outside, Boston Terrier, Hereford cattle in pens, desert plants in rock planter, gravel road, house, garden, mesas, lily pads, woman cooking at stove, outdoor fireplace with ranch brand, man on horse, and drilling rig. Founded by cattleman John B. Slaughter, the estate passed on to Slaughter's son, Jay. At one time the senior Slaughter's operations covered many sections of West Texas and Colorado. Slaughter's main holdings were along the Cap Rock country of Garza County, Texas.
