Photograph Collection, 1954-1965 20 prints, 81 negatives. Includes images of Barney Carter, Barney Carter with hereford cattle, and hereford cattle in pasture. Located 4 1/2 miles west of Palo Pinto, Texas, the ranch was owned by Barney Carter.

Photograph Collection, 1938-1964 18 prints, 88 negatives. Includes images of people posing individually and in groups, gate entrance, people with Herefords, house, men on horseback, lake and trees, horse by windmill, horses, men with horses, metal chair and its shadow, pots on pit cooking, men cooking outdoors, sign, and Hereford cattle in pasture. The Midland, Texas ranch was run by Roy Parks and his son and raised Hereford cattle and Quarter horses.
FR215 Parr Ranch Photograph Collection, 1960 7 prints. Includes images of four individual men. The 55,711 acre ranch was sold in November 1960 by court decree, with most of the sold land in La Salle and Webb Counties. The Ranch had various previous owners and names, including the Dobie Ranch, Los Olmos ("the Palms"), and the Watkins Ranch. When it was the Dobie Ranch, J. Frank Dobie operated the ranch for his uncle. Parr filed for bankruptcy in 1957.

Pierce, Miles Rambouillet Sheep Ranch
Photograph Collection, 1975 5 negatives. Includes images of the ranch sign, and sheep in pen. Miles Pierce, a Texas A&M graduate, was a third generation sheep raiser whose ranch was located 14 miles east of Alpine, Texas. The ranch's 14,000 acre headquarters was known as Altuda, with a second division a few miles north called the Old Blue Ranch.

Pitchfork Ranch

Includes images of people eating, various individual and groups posing, a couple cooking, hereford cattle in pens and pasture, auctioneers, people with horses, horse, horses in pasture, people on horseback, gate entrance, horse beneath gate entrance, various buildings, people at cattle auction/sale, chuckwagon, cattle branding, hogs, various riders, fencing, men butchering a cow, calf roping, and bell. One of the better known Texas ranches, the Pitchford Ranch consisted of more than 100,000 acres and was owned by the Pitchfork Land and Cattle Company. The ranch was also referred to as "The Forks" due to its use of the pitchfork brand.

Pool, Ray, Ranch
Photograph Collection, 1950 1 print. Includes image of hereford cattle feeding at troughs. The ranch was formerly the Colonel Walters Ranch. Floyd C. Pool, President of the Moran National Bank, bought the 2,140 acre ranch in 1942 and turned it into a feedlot. Pool experimented with various soil conservation practices and also conducted small scale oil drilling production on some of the land.

Potts, Tomie, Hereford Ranch
Photograph Collection, 1951 8 negatives. Includes images of Hereford cattle in pasture, Mr. and Mrs. Tomie Potts, and nephew James Potts with Larry Mixer 23rd. The ranch was located 12 miles from Memphis, Texas. Tomie Potts was involved in several livestock associations, including the Memphis Chamber of Commerce's Agriculture and Livestock committee and served in 1951 was President of the Panhandle Hereford Breeders Association.

Premier Ranch
Photograph Collection, 1936 40 negatives. Includes images of a woman posing, Hereford cattle in pasture with riders, landscape, house, building with cars, gate entrance, and Herefords by stone fencing. Located 17 miles east of Mason, the Premier Ranch was owned by Elgin O. Kothmann.
FR234 Price Ranch Photograph Collection, 1956 59 negatives. Includes images of Hereford cattle, riders with cattle, men working with squeeze chute, and two different houses. Consisting of approximately 25,000 acres, the Addington, Oklahoma ranch was owned by Henry Price. On the east part of the ranch was Monument Hill, marked by a tall concrete monument, which served as the unofficial headquarters for the Pickens County Cowpunchers Association.
